Mat's vault
Rare recordings from previous line-ups of Psychophile. Use with caution! The tracks available below bear little resemblance to what Psychophile represents today. Download at your discretion. Most of these tracks were recorded on a Vestax 4-track, so don't expect fabulous sound quality. Enjoy! Feel free to lob any downloads onto filesharing sites, etc. Some use samples from external media. Oh well.
These are full-length tracks, but mostly encoded at low bitrates due to server space limitations.

Hawaii Five-0
Oars at the ready!
(417KB/64Kbps)
I'm Here In Claustrophobia
It's so much nicer.

Intense 2006
Yet another version of our live favourite, this one has vocals by Mat, just like in the olden days!

Mercy Seat
Homage to Kurt Ralske. Mat's fave track, played on the way to Portmerion.
(1.27MB/64Kbps)

The precursor to 'Cracked'. Lucy transformed this track.

The Mog's World of Bullshit
Congratulations, you've stumbled across the coolest part of the whole Psychophile website. I used to have my own page, you know, but since the redesign I've been consigned to this stupid section hidden away at the bottom of the Downloads page. Anyway, you'll like it here, because this is where you'll find downloadable rubbish such as studio outtakes, and stuff for your computer and your mobile phone. Check back soon to see if I've come up with any new shit.
Rimmage
I know it's a bit naughty of me, but I've uploaded an out-take from the Transition album to my webspace, much against Lucy and (especially) Smogo's wishes. It's a clip of Smogo attempting to record backing vocals for Visions Images and Dreams, but his mind was obviously on other things. The other voices you'll hear in the background are my creatrix Lucy Pointycat, The Chaos Engine's Ms Allezbleu, and Transition producer Lee H.
I've decided to call it Rimmage (1.02MB/64Kbps). Listen to it and you'll see why.
Windows screensavers
Bored of 'Beziers'? Sick of 'Starfield'? Tired, even, of '3D FlowerBox'? Well now you can choose from one of these four Psychophile screensavers. Two of them have music attached to them, while the other two are mute. So whether you enjoy my music or Lucy's cleavage, there's something for everyone.
To download the screensaver files, right-click on the name below and select 'Save Target As...', or whatever it is that your particular browser calls it.

Pointercat
And while you're at it, why not grab this little icon here and use it as a Lucy Pointycat-approved pointycat mouse pointer? Right-click on the thingy below and select Save Target As, then go to Control Panel --> Mouse --> Pointers, and browse for it in the place where you saved the little bugger. Nice.
Surplus ringtone
Now, I can't use mobile phones, what with having no fucking hands! But if you've got hands and a Nokia phone, then the main riff from Surplus can be programmed into your phone by navigating to the Composer and keying the following sequence:
58, 3, 3, 5, 3, 3, 5, 3, 4#, 3, 3, 4#, 3, 3, 4#, 3, 5, 3, 6, 799, 388, 5, 3, 6, 799
Give it an authentic tempo of 160bpm and you've suddenly got the coolest ringtone on the planet, all thanks to me. See, I do have my uses.
