On Friday 30th March 2007 (the end of the tax year, natch!), Wasp Factory Recordings will be holding one final celebration of their work with this amazing gig at the Two Pigs, in the town where it all began: Cheltenham. Headliners The Chaos Engine will be playing their last ever gig (honest), and if it's half as good as their previous last ever gig, it will be unmissable. Conversely, the much-missed Earth Loop Recall will be playing their first show since reforming late last year. Acclaimed artist Marcus Lanyon will be making a rare appearance in his Tarantella Serpentine guise for this very special occasion, and in a similar vein, Mr G and Rich will be resurrecting Skinflowers for one night only. Opening the evening will be Xykogen, the last band to sign to Wasp Factory, and one of the pioneers of the new "Future Punk" sound. You'll also be able to buy CDs from the Wasp Factory back catalogue from as little as 50p. If you've ever loved Wasp Factory, then you must be at this gig; we're putting the label to rest once and for all! |
